2 Rare Albert Haberer Dining Chairs from 1950

About the Item

This rare set of 2 dining chairs are designed by Albert Haberer and manufactured by Hermann Fleiner, Germany in ca 1950. These chairs are beautifully crafted with attention to detail. The backrest spindles are skillfully connected with a leather band and tight together with small nails. This construction gives the backrest both strength and flexibility. The chairs are made from solid cherry wood, beech wood back rods, and leather. The spindles and seat have a nice surface color which still looks almost new. The chairs have a delicate and elegant appearance due to the interesting backrest design, while at the same time having a strong character. These two chairs are a lower version of the regular 89 cm high chairs. This version measures 81cm in height. We recommend regularly oiling the leather to prevent the leather from drying out and ripping.
