About the Item
Antique Henry II style dining side chair, circa 1880s. Made from walnut with an embossed leather back featuring a heraldic winged griffon / lion crest. The lower back of the chair showcases an carved arvade with turned finials. Chair stiles have a carved foliate motif. Seat is leather ornate metal gromets. The chair is supported by turned legs connected by an H stretcher that lead to turnip feet.
