About the Item
We kindly suggest you read the whole description, because with it we try to give you detailed technical and historical information to guarantee the authenticity of our objects.
Elegant and refined mahogany cockpit chair; the straight and enveloping backrest, the slightly worked and curved front legs, the rear saber legs, all this identifies a pure late Empire style; the entire wooden structure has been totally restored in recent times by skilled craftsmen, restoring the original patina, also has been repaired and reinforced with a steel insert not visible the left front leg at the seat (see photo); the entire backrest and seat have been upholstered with a prestigious Dedar velvet, creating an exceptional style contrast and a timeless elegance that pleasantly involves us. Dedar cotton velvet, of high Italian quality, is compact, full, and consistent thanks to the high number of threads per centimeter, soft, padded, and embroidered, rich and compact, very resistant to wear. The Dedar company is a company located in northern Italy; born in 1976, it continuously experiments and innovates with the aim of achieving productive excellence thanks to a constant dialogue with artisans and textile experts, masters in the techniques used in the production of excellent fabrics. Dedar creations, seductive and precious, require a minimum of one year up to three years for implementation. The chair was made in 1830 in France. Measures: Cm 83 x 48 x 40 seat cm.43. For all our shipments we use special packaging materials (wooden crates, styrofoam, etc.) for maximum protection and safety of the objects.

We kindly suggest you read the whole description, because with it we try to give you detailed technical and historical information to guarantee the authenticity of our objects.
Particular and elegant chair with a solid and functional structure; the most interesting part of the chair is the elaborate and imaginative backrest with a harmonious and refined design; in the middle, there is precious woodwork, carved with skill and ability by a master cabinetmaker; the front legs have been meticulously turned to give them a light and proportionate shape, while the rear ones have a slightly curved square section; the seat top is removable and a wooden pin on the front crossbar allows the top itself to fit perfectly into its natural housing. The seat upholstery was replaced in ancient times and is in good condition (a bit of wear on the front, see photo) so we did not consider doing any restoration on the whole chair because its authentic look and slight imperfections make it really seductive and fascinating and attest its antiquity. The chair was handcrafted in Denmark in perfect Biedermeier style using African...

Pierre Guariche Designer French Chair with Guild Fabric
By Pierre Guariche
Located in Prato, Tuscany
We kindly suggest you read the whole description, because with it we try to give you detailed technical and historical information to guarantee the authenticity of our objects.
The very particular chair has an elegant and aggressive shape; Pierre Guariche is a legendary French designer from the 20th century. He gave a personal and innovative touch to design by combining aestheticism and mass production. As a visionary designer, he knew how to create pieces of furniture with a functionalist approach and an aesthetic dimension. He really wanted to meet the needs of the times by using methods of the series production. His creations became mythic pieces such as the Tonneau chair (1953 and 1954), the Tulip chair (1953), and the President's desk (1961). Our chair was made in France in 1960 and recently retouched with Guild fabric. Designer Guild is an international company based in London and stores all over the world; Designers Guild collections offer a range of luxury furnishing fabrics...
