D51 Fagus chair with armrests by Walter Gropius, manufactured by Tecta in 1920

About the Item

D51 Fagus arm chair designed by Walter Gropius and manufactured by Tecta in Germany in 1920. This painted ash wood seat fully reflects the German style of those years. Walter Gropius's contribution to German modernism and minimalism is clearly visible in this D51 model, designed for the Fagus factory in Alfeld, Germany. In particular, this seat is a rare version of the model, presenting a black-and-white striped fabric upholstery in full Bauhaus style. This version is no longer available in the market or even in production. The product is in excellent condition with slight wear and tear due to the passage of time and use. More details can be seen in photos.
