A pair of chairs belonging to the collections of the Museum of Modern Art of New-York (Ref. 419.1972.1-2). Giancarlo Piretti Giancarlo Piretti was born in Bologna in 1940. There he studied at the Istituto Statale d’Arte. Having graduated, Piretti started a fruitful collaboration with Anonima Castelli as head designer. Among the works created there, the « Plia » is a masterwork of modern design, combining esthetics and functionality. This chair received many design awards.
