About the Item

Exaggerated curves of tubular steel and perforated sheet metal define The Dr Sonderbar Chair by French architect and designer Philippe Starck (b. 1949). Influenced by his childhood spent beneath the drawing tables of his aeronautic engineer father, Starck has since applied his distinctive vision to a wide range of designs, from iconic Parisian clubs to everyday objects. This 1980s playful minimalist design has some chips to nickel finish, with some rusting underneath the seat.
