About the designer:
The postmodern Italian design-couple Afra and Tobia Scarpa ran one of the most widely acclaimed and well-known professional de- sign studios, and together, they had an impressive impact on Italian design in the 1970s and 1980s.
Today, Afra and Tobia Scarpa's work is part of the collection of many museums worldwide and has been exhibited in countless temporary exhibitions. One of those iconic pieces, permanently on display at MoMA in New York, is the 925 Scarpa lounge chair.
