Late 20th Century Art Deco Revival Custom Designed Two Toned Mahogany Club Chair
About the Item
Fabulous vintage Art Deco Revival custom two-toned mahogany cube club chairs made by Rialto & designed by Zlata Pericic for Meca Design & Production, 8 available, selling separately. Comprised of mahogany frames and they are wearing their original gold faux mohair fabric with antique brass toned nail head trim. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that these are vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. Each chair has its own wear or small flaw- see photos of chairs with numbers to select chair you want. The wood frames had some dings, chips, and missing veneer that we have repaired & touched up. It is very hard to detect, and the fabric is in phenomenal condition. May have some fading & 1 chair has 2 fade spots in fabric of the upper back. Please see photos and zoom in for details. We attempt to portray any imperfections. Circa, Late 20th Century.

Is 8 REALLY enough? Not as far as we are concerned… especially when it comes to something as INCREDIBLE as these custom designed cube club chairs!!! They are extremely well made and absolutely SOLID. They’re super heavy, made by Rialto, and custom designed by Zlata Pericic for Meca Design & Production. They are comprised of SUPER deep, dark mahogany frames with a unique shape as the back has a modest backward lean and the front is slightly wider than the back. As we stated, they are very deep so you may want to toss a throw pillow in it for extra comfort. Now, let’s talk about this phenomenal original gold fabric!! WOW!! It’s not quite velvet and it’s not quite mohair but it’s super soft with a very short pile so we are calling it faux mohair. It’s incredibly wrapped around the Dacron wrapped foam loose zippered seat cushion, seat back and inner arms, and the deck. And they are trimmed with lovely antique brass toned nail head trim. It looks SPECTACULAR!! The lower sides and back of the frames are adorned with gorgeous light mahogany geometric inlays and at a constructive perspective you should know that the tapered square feet are glued, screwed in, and have been applied separately. They are very geometric, extremely heavy, and absolutely head-turning! We are selling them separately so you can choose whether you want one, two, or more. (until they are gone!) They are Art Deco Revival with a little Postmodern vibe, and they are going to be WONDERFUL in your living room across from your sofa, in the corner of your bedroom, in the study facing the fireplace, or in the sitting room with a wonderful accent table in between! They are unique, exquisite, and we believe them be one of a kind, although we can’t be positive about that. Either way, they are marvelous and sure to be your favorite new vintage piece! We have a feeling they won’t last long… you better hurry and make one, two, or all 8 of them YOURS!!!
