About the Item

A Chinese Hongmu corner chair, 19th century. The horseshoe-form back with molded crest above a pair of open carved splats with fruiting and flowering peach branches, the drop-in wooden seat, all raised on shaped legs with cross stretcher. Minor restorations mainly to the back corner joints slightly open. Measures: Height 30 3/4"- inches. (78 cm) Width 22"-inches. (55.8 cm) Depth 21 3/4"- inches. (55.2 cm) Seat height 15 1/2"- inches. (39.3 cm).
