About the Item
A pair of antique European carved oak corner chairs with beautifully aged dark rich patina.
Born in the early/mid-19th century, hand-crafted in Moorish Renaissance taste, having heavily carved shaped crest rail over vasiform splats with floral foliate carvings and alternating spindle turned supports, above a later paisley upholstered cushion seat, rising on box-stretcher joined bobbin turned leg base, resting on turned feet.

Ideal size and slightly oversized proportions for a variety of different uses, including tucked in a corner as a decorative accent chair and additional seating, positioned side by side forming a sette or hall bench, or placed flanking a door, window or entry they make for an elegant statement piece.
Great antique condition; enhanced by nicely aged patina over the whole. Wear consistent with age and use, including expected worn finish, various antique character marks, nothing that detracts from the aesthetics or functionality, but all of which add to the elegant warmth, old world feel and charming patina of these amazing chairs.
