Awesome vintage modern dark blue plastic & chrome reverse cantilever Intellect dining chairs by Krueger International (a.k.a.) KI Seating 7 total. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that these are vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. There are some minor nicks & dings in the plastic & some feet are a newer style. Chrome is great. Please see photos and zoom in for details. We attempt to portray any imperfections. Circa, 2008.
NOTE: If you love these dark blue stackable Intellect dining chairs by KI seating, we also have 8 matching light blue chairs listed here for sale if they are still available. Also, we are selling these chairs as a whole group of 7 however, if you REALLY want a smaller group of four or six, we may consider something like that. Just let us know. We also have many more of these chairs available, but the seats are cracked, and they are missing the black plastic feet. Replacement parts are, however, available online. So, if you are needing larger numbers, we may be able to accommodate.
Just look at these Sensational Chairs!!! This is a set of 7 dark blue plastic and chrome stacking chairs by KI Seating. They are from the Intellect Collection which was discontinued in 2019. They are comprised of a shield shaped dark blue plastic back and the reverse cantilever base doubles as an ergonomically designed handle behind the seat back. FABULOUS!! Of course, they were originally designed for commercial applications such as schools or offices, but we know they will be wonderful in your home. And they’re obviously attractive but, talk about sturdy! So, you don’t have to sacrifice style for durability! They will be wonderful used as dining chairs, but they would be equally as fabulous around an office or conference table, or at the family game table. Did company show up unexpectedly? No problem! These are great for extra seating! And they’re conveniently stackable! When company leaves, stack them neatly away in the storage closet.

Awesome vintage cantilever tubular chrome and blue hopsack fabric upholstered lounge chairs in the manner of Thonet. There are set of seven chairs available. All are in wonderful vintage condition with normal wear for their age. The upholstery has been cleaned and can be used but you may wish to recover. They are priced accordingly. Excellent set of eight black Torsion dining chairs designed by Giancarlo Piretti for KI. There are seven arm chairs and one side chair. They are in wonderful vintage condition with minor wear that you would expect with age. Please see photos, circa 1995.
In 1997 Giancarlo Piretti received an award for his Torsion seating collection. These chairs are part of that collection. Designed and made initially and primarily for commercial purpose they are extremely comfortable and flexible. They are lightweight and stackable. This set has an attractive textured high impact black plastic seat, back, and arms on chrome legs. No one expects this chair have the comfort it provides. The back flexes. This flex is achieved with the torsion mechanism which creates gradually increasing resistance. They were designed for comfort during long meetings or lectures. But, that makes them perfect for long dinners with lots of conversation. Or, family night with puzzles, cards, and games.
The designer, Giancarlo Piretti, was born in Bologna Italy in 1940. He attended art schools there and subsequently taught Interior Design. During that time, he was also designing furniture for Anonima Castelli. He has won numerous awards and has items in many museums including MoMA New York. He still lives and works in Bologna with is son, designer Alessandro Piretti.

Bold, beautiful, and royal blue!!! This is a gorgeous pair of vintage armchairs by Hibriten Chair Company. They are constructed of square chrome tube frames and wear a lovely royal blue fabric on their seat and back. They’re just BEAUTIFUL!! They would be wonderful used as side chairs in your living room, family room, bedroom, study, or as host and Hostess chairs at either end of your Mid-Century Modern dining table. They are very versatile and have that pop of color you have been needing in that dull space. Regardless of where you choose to use them, they are sure to be eye-catching, comfortable, and full of Mid-Century Modern style.
Hibriten actually had 2 companies- Hibriten Furniture Co, and Hibriten Chair Co. Both located in Lenoir, N. C. Hibriten Furniture was founded in the 1920’s by Orrin Robbins and Hibriten Chair Co. was founded a few years later by Robey Robbins. Hibriten Chair Co. was well known for its extremely high quality of solid mahogany or walnut French reproductions and other styles of furniture. Hibriten became a part of Bernhardt Furniture in the 1950-1960’s with their president George C. Robbins and was eventually purchased by Bernhardt sometime in the early 1970’s.
