The Mito chair is the first model created by Carlo Bartoli for the Turati brothers and their new brand, Tisettanta.
Using the plywood technique in a very elegant way, the Mito was the beginning of a long and fruitful collaboration.

Carlo Bartoli
Carlo Bartoli, born in Milan in 1931, is an Italian architect and designer. He created many successful works, such as the Gaia armchair, included in the permanent design collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Design Museum of the Milan Triennale. Bartoli was awarded the ADI Compasso d'Oro for Lifetime Achievement.

Born in Padua in 1926, Gianfranco Frattini studied architecture at the Politecnico di Milano.
Having graduated in 1953, he first collaborated with Gio Ponti before opening his own practice.
Throughout his career, Frattini was very focused on interior designs for which he created furniture and lights. That led him to work with some of the most important design companies, Artemide, Knoll, Arteluce, Bernini and Cassina. With the latter, Frattini had a long and fruitful collaboration giving birth to masterpieces such as the 780/783 nesting tables, the Sesann sofas.
