This set of dining chairs, crafted in solid ash during 1970s Italy, is a clear expression of a particular moment in post-war European design. Its geometry is strict, almost austere, but it carries a warm and tactile materiality that softens its rationalist structure. The frame is composed of straight, squared components with legs and stretchers that meet with clean, right-angled joints. What immediately distinguishes the piece is the seat: a lattice grid, both functional and expressive. There's something almost Brutalist in this openness, though scaled to the intimacy of domestic space. The backrest contrasts this with a subtle curve: gentle, ergonomic, and inviting.
