Pair of Frank Hudson & Sons Harrods Stamped Medallion Hardwood Dining Chairs

About the Item

We are delighted to offer for sale this pair of stunning Mahogany and Rijoa velour dining chairs made by the wonder that was Frank Hudson & Son’s for Harrods London An absolutely sublime quality pair of chairs, each one stamped to the base with the original brass metal plaque which reads “FRANK HUDSON & SON LTD FOR HARRODS KNIGHTSBRIDGE” These chairs are truly lovely, the mahogany has a warm feel and is beautifully crafted, the design is after an 18th century style by George Hepplewhite. The highlight of which are the curved seat bases, the chairs literally hugs the back of your legs, they are very comfortable The chairs do have some age, as such they have been lightly restored to include a clean wax and polish, there will be some light age related patina marks on the timber and upholstery, mostly they are in fine order throughout I have 10 more chairs which have a different back in the same timber and with the same upholstery again from Frank Hudson for Harrods which are listed under my other items Standard chair dimensions: Height 88cm Width 49cm Depth 54cm This item is available for collection from our Wimbledon warehouses. Condition: Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
