About the Item
A beautiful and high quality set of eight Italian 19th century patinated and giltwood Venetian dining chairs. Each chair is raised by elegant cabriole legs, attached by a scrolled H shaped stretcher with wonderfully decorative movements and giltwood filets. Each leg displays finely carved foliate giltwood designs which extend along the scalloped shaped frieze. The upholstered back support displays a most attractive shape and a mottled patinated border with a giltwood band and an impressive top carved foliate reserve.
