Set of Eighteen Georgian English Dining Chairs, 19th Century

About the Item

An elegant nineteenth-century set of eighteen George III solid mahogany carved dining chairs with a shell-carved crest rail, with a pierced carved vase-shaped back splat, with a slip-in seat terminating into carved cabriole legs with shell-carved knees ending in a traditional pad foot. These classic 18th-century Chippendale-designed dining chairs have a grand scale with regal high backs that give an elegant look around a dining table. These traditional English-styled chairs have a large scale that makes them wonderful to use in the modern dining room. The two armchairs were handmade in the late 19th century to match the sixteen side chairs. side chair measurement: 38 inches high by 21 inches wide by 20.75 inches deep arm chair measurement: 39.25 inches high by 24 inches wide by 23.5 inches deep
