Set of Four Biedermeier Viennese Chairs in the Style of Josef Danhauser

About the Item

Set of four scallop-back Viennese Biedermeier side chairs (1815-1830) are in cherry, 19th century. The neoclassical fan back chairs are in the style of Josef Danhauser. The elegant form with the clean lines and light-colored wood veneer gives the chairs ornamental restraint while the fluted fan backrest resembles the tail feathers of an exotic bird making them a True Work of Art. The form of the chairs will fit in period or modern interiors. These exceptional Biedermeier chairs are published in "Biedermeier" by Angus Wilkie on page 200 Fig. 192.
