Stunning Suite of Six Regency Hardwood Bergere Dining Chairs Velvet Chesterfield
About the Item
We are delighted to offer for sale this sublime suite of six original Regency circa 1810-1820 sabre leg dining chairs
These are a very well made set, the frames are ornately carved and finished with bergere seats. Each chair comes with its own custom made purple velvet chesterfield floating button cushion
These are some of the most iconic hand made in England Regency chairs you will ever see, the frames are in Cuban mahogany which of the day was the finest material around
They have the period berger bases, three of which have been fully restored with new caning, the restoration cost nearly £200 per chair
We have cleaned waxed and polished the frames from top to bottom, they have all been checked and secured where needed

Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
