Royal House Antiques Royal House Antiques is delighted to offer for sale this sublime, ornately hand carved circa 1860 Lions Hairy Paw feet and main, footstool or ottoman with new brown leather upholstery Please note the delivery fee listed is just a guide, it covers within the M25 only for the UK and local Europe only for international, if you would like an accurate quote please send me your postcode and I’ll provide you with the exact price What a thing! This is one of the nicest footstools I have ever seen, the carving is pure art furniture from every angle, its a 17th century style but done in the mid Victorian era. The legs start with an almost Georgian scoop into the upholstery, this houses the Lion's main which leads down to an elegant leg finished with a Lion's hairy paw foot The leather top is new as mentioned, it is Italian heritage hide leather which has been hand nail tacked in place using antique solid brass studs, these were individually tacked, they aren't the modern cheaper chain link pins Condition wise, the woodwork has been deep cleaned, hand condition waxed and hand polished, the frame is solid and stable, the upholstery as mentioned is new Dimensions Height:- 38cm Width:- 96cm Depth:- 40cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point, if you would like any additional or specific measurements please ask Any questions please feel free to ask before you bid Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
