Designed in the 1940s by acclaimed Czech modernists Karel Kozelka and Antonin Kropacek, this pair of bentwood armchairs captures the elegance and comfort that define Mid-Century Modern European furniture. Created in Prague during a flourishing era of postwar design, the chairs display a sculptural lightness paired with exceptional craftsmanship.
Their middle brown bentwood frames sweep in graceful curves from backrest to floor, a hallmark of Central European bentwood mastery. The warm, even-toned finish enhances the natural beauty of the wood while preserving its strength and fluid silhouette.
The seats and backs have been meticulously reupholstered in premium Texel sheepskin, sourced from the Netherlands.
