1940's Viggo Boesen Attributed Danish Lounge Chair in Oak by Slagelse

About the Item

Superb Danish late Art Deco early midcentury chair from the early 1930's with spring cushions and beautiful open armrests and legs carved in solid stained Cuban Mahogany with great color and patina. Typical of Viggo Boesen's design for Slagelse Mobelvaerk. We just love the simple yet very refined elegant design of this chair, which will work very well in combination with any modern furniture and helps bring a strong design statement to any room. The chair is in very good condition with just minor appropriate age wear and patina to the wood. The chair was reupholstered at a later point (most likely in the 1970's) and remains in clean usable condition. We can offer reupholstery of this chair at a very competitive price, however.
