This mid-century lounge chair revolves around high-quality materials, comfort, and the mastery of the era’s Danish cabinetmakers. The design is focused on the aesthetics of modernism whilst employing the exquisite technique and material familiarity of the highly skilled craftsmen. This chair in many ways transcends the word ‘modern’ thanks to its unique look.
The flamboyant look is the result of the brilliant pairing of materials. The solid wood structure’s smooth lines stand out against the textural, organic Tibetan sheepskin while also accentuating the individuality of the upholstery. The soft fibres of the lightweight, feathery Tibetan sheepskin drape beautifully over this lounge chair, while the warm brown colour adds depth. The desire to keep functionality and comfort at the core of the design is visible, especially in the gently tilted back and the short, tapered legs. The armrests have a peculiar shape, with perfectly sculpted curves to accommodate the sitter.
