About the Item

Coveted pair of lounge chairs by Danish Designer, Henning Kjaernulf made from quarter-sawn white oak and hand carved in brutalist style. Kjaernulfs style is very unique and instantly recognizable and was quite popular in Denmark during the very late 1960’s and up through the 1970’s seeking inspiration from both art & crafts and even Jacobean styles. The furniture and the Designer has come to enjoy iconic status and the furniture is strongly coming back into vogue. These chair are a bit lighter of design but with great ergonomics and comfort. The cushions are finished in traditional Scandinavian woven stripe fabric in rich earth tones of moss green and tan and the existing padding and original fabric remains in clean and still usable condition. We are able to offer reupholstery services at very competitive prices for these pieces. Overall very good condition.
