A Mid Century Modern Lounge Chair Designed by Luigi Tiengo for Cimon Ltd.
About the Item
A very good MCM lounge chair designed by Luigi Tiengo for Cimon Ltd., Montreal Canada. The frame is upholstered in what appears to be its original avocado-green fabric, together with its matching loose cushion, mounted to its original tri-corn walnut base.
Dimensions, 37” high (seat height, 16”) x 31” wide x 33” deep.
LUIGI TIENGO (B. 1926 -) is a very successful Italian born artist and furniture designer who was awarded several Canadian national design awards, and whose designs including this lounge chair, were produced in 1963 by the Canadian manufacturer, Cimon Ltd., Montreal Canada.
Remarkably the chair still retains the original Cimon Ltd. customer order slip shown stapled to the base, fully establishing the chairs authenticity.

- Condition:Refinished. Wear consistent with age and use. The condition of the fabric remains in fine overall condition with only minor fading as noted in the image of the seat cushion removed. The original walnut base has been refinished, but retains its old if not original flattened plastic foot pads.
