Mid-Century Pair of Poul Jensen for Selig ''Z'' Lounge Chairs

About the Item

An absolutely stunning rare pair of Mid-Century modern "Z" lounge chairs designed by Poul Jensen for Selig, in Denmark, circa 1960s. Known as the "Z" chair for its stylish, sculptured, armrests that join to the leg giving the appearance of the letter Z. Beautiful back slats. Featuring beautiful walnut wood frames with fabulous grain and detached cushions in a neutral original, beautiful fabric with thick foam inserts, in great condition. Makers label (made and finished in Denmark imported by Selig ) on frame and patent stamp (made in Denmark) on support straps. Support straps beneath the chairs are in outstanding original tight condition. Fantastic design details such as the stunning profile and splayed legs. This unique pair will present a powerful design statement with an authentic 1960s MCM Scandinavian look, and blend with many décor styles! Measurements: 26.25″H x 29.5″ W x 32.5″ D (seat height with cushion 16″ with out cushion 11 7/8" tall) (arm height 22 1/4" tall)
