The Oil Tan Leather has a beautiful look, smell and feel and is softer and more pliable than other leathers as it retains much of its moisture. It is more durable and more weather resistant than other leathers as the oil used to tan and colour the leather repels water and dirt. The oil tan leather leaves a rich colour when scratched or bent but fades after some time – making this option of leather interesting, personalised and it will age beautifully around your habits – leaving a story on the leather.
The beauty of leather is that each hide has natural markings and features, which means that each piece is unique, with its own personality.
The chairs are stitched by hand, and we embrace the characteristics and individuality of the hide we use. There might be slight colour variations. Studio Stirling's passion is designing unique Hanging Swing Chairs, Loungers, Daybeds and Swings, which we then make by hand! The collection is designed by multiple award winning designer team Joanina and David Pastoll.
All of them are ideal for inside or outside use and look gorgeous on a deck, patio, hanging from a branch of a tree or anywhere indoors. They are great used as functional art pieces or a signature item.
As each one is made by hand it therefor allows for each piece to have individualism and uniqueness in some of the pattern detailing due to the variance of craftsmanship. They are made from steel - so very strong and durable, E coated for rust protection (like on the chassis of a car) and then powder coated. Form-fitting comfort, ergonomic design perfect both for indoor and outdoor spaces: choose yours from our collection.
