About the Item

Experience the timeless elegance and exceptional comfort of this vintage Postmodern Italian "Walse" lounge chair and ottoman set, designed by the renowned Tito Agnoli for Poltrona Frau in the 1990s. This iconic set, celebrated for its impeccable design and superior craftsmanship, will instantly elevate any space with its stylish presence. The chair features original overstuffed, plush cushions that invite relaxation and a unique tilting mechanism that enhances comfort, allowing you to find your perfect lounge position. Upholstered in the original yellow leather, it exudes a warm, inviting glow. The leather shows signs of wear such as scuffs, a testament to its history and authenticity. Despite these signs of love and use, the chair remains in good condition, with many years of life left. The matching ottoman, also in yellow leather, complements the chair perfectly. A mid-sized slit on the ottoman adds to its vintage charm - we encourage you to refer to the pictures for more detail. The measurements are approximately 42"W x 40"D x 35"H, with a seat height of 18.5"H and an arm height of 20". Ottoman measures approximately 29"W x 26"D x 16.5"T. Tito Agnoli, the designer, was a well-respected figure in the Italian design scene. Born in 1931 in Lima, Peru, Agnoli moved to Italy after World War II and studied under masters such as Carlo De Carli and Gio Ponti. His work is characterized by a deep understanding of materials and a clean, minimalist aesthetic. This "Walse" Lounge Chair and Ottoman set is a prime example of his philosophy, combining form, function, and comfort in a harmonious design. This set would pair exceptionally well with a variety of interior styles - from mid-century modern and minimalistic, to industrial and Scandinavian design. It would make a statement in a spacious living room, a cozy reading nook, or even in an office space where comfort and style are paramount. It's not just a piece of furniture, but a piece of design history that will add a touch of vintage charm and sophistication to your home. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or request more photos. This is a rare opportunity to own a piece of design history by one of Italy's most respected designers. Don't miss out!
