About the Item
This exquisite pair of ‘Roxinho’ lounge chairs, designed by Michel Arnoult for Mobilia in the 1960s, embodies the essence of midcentury South American modernism. Made in Argentina, these chairs feature a sturdy beechwood frame that showcases Arnoult’s mastery of combining simplicity with elegance. The seats, crafted from luxurious leather, provide both comfort and durability, complementing the warm tones of the beechwood. The clean lines and ergonomic design ensure these chairs are not only visually striking but also supremely comfortable, making them perfect for any modern interior.

Michel Arnoult, a visionary French-born designer, played a pivotal role in shaping modern Brazilian furniture design. After moving to Brazil in the 1950s, Arnoult became a key figure in the development of affordable, high-quality furniture that was both functional and beautiful. He was a pioneer of the “ready-to-assemble” concept, believing that good design should be accessible to all. Arnoult’s work is characterized by its minimalist approach, innovative use of local materials, and a deep understanding of the Brazilian lifestyle, all of which contributed to the enduring legacy of his designs.
