Vintage French Style Pr Distressed Painted Armchairs Neoclassical Hollywood Reg

About the Item

Gorgeous pair of vintage French style armchairs with distressed painted finish frames, carved details, down filled seat cushions, & reupholstered in a taupe & floral fabric with a purple & rose hue. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that these are vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. The painted wood frame is purposefully distressed or antiqued. The fabric is in good condition, but we understand most will want to recover so they are priced accordingly. Please see photos and zoom in for details. We attempt to portray any imperfections. Circa, Late 19th-Early 21st Century. Oooooooh La La!! These vintage French style armchairs are MAGNIFIQUE!!! They have been reupholstered in a fabulous taupe fabric with rose and purple floral patterns on the front of the chair and what we believe is the same or companion fabric turned inside-out on the backside of the chairs. It’s awesomely interesting because when you set them with something red, they look more red and if you put them with something purple or gold, they look more purple or gold! It’s fabulous!! And did we mention that the seat cushions are down filled?? SO comfortable!! They are comprised of wood frames that have been painted with an all-over intentional distressed finish and they feature a fancy wingback or Lincoln drape back with a carved center bow and carved wings on the edges which appear to “hold” the drapes. If you zoom into the photos, you can see the fantastic “layers” of the drapes down the sides. Lovely, detailed laurel leaf carvings are displayed down the legs, below the seat cushion, and center of the armrests. These chairs have phenomenal all-over carved detail, gorgeous fabric, and unbelievable comfort!! They’re obviously French but they have a shabby chic, neoclassical, and Hollywood Regency flair as well. They are going to be the perfect extra seating in your living room or would be wonderful in your sitting room, study, or flanking your fireplace! They are absolutely BELLE and ready to grace your home with French Fabulous-ness!! What are you waiting for? Make them yours!!
