The Italian designer Vittorio Varo created a striking design that adds a vibrant allure to your room and intensifies the experience of relaxing itself. A wing-like structure that resembles a butterfly is used for the construction of the seat. A tubular frame holds the same curved shapes as the body, creating a unified whole. The large seat and tilted backrest ensure that it is a true delight to have a pleasant and enjoyable time while sitting on it. The striped fabric has a glamorous look in gold and beige tones. Florence Knoll (1917-) was trained as an architect and had a sense of style from a very young age. In 1936 she met Alvar Aalto and was trained by Marcel Breuer, Walter Gropius and Mies van der Rohe. This meant that although she was barely out of her teens, she was educated by the best of the European modernists.
