About the Item
Thonet-style rocking chair. The structure is made up of sinuous, interwoven pieces in elegant circular and curved shapes, a hallmark of the steam-bent wicker furniture developed in the 19th century. The high, slightly sloping backrest, combined with the low, comfortable seat, provides a relaxing position. The arched base allows for a gentle rocking motion, ideal for reading or resting.
The wood finish shows patina and signs of use. Beautiful decorative chair that can be used in classic, romantic or bohemian interiors, being both functional and sculptural.
