Mid-Century Danish Rocking Chair by Poul Volther for Frem Røjle, 1960s

About the Item

Schlichter rocking chair from the Danish manufacturer Frem Røjle, designed by Poul Volther from the 60s. A very no-nonsense design with clean lines. The individual timber elements of the chair showing the most part a rectangular cross-section. The frame is aligned downwards in a point and this chair the distinctive V-shape. The red upholstery harmonizes perfectly with the wood. The runners are especially running fine. Inside view, they seem heavy and solid, in the front view to show the actual intricacy. Back and forth they run almost from zero. The rocking chair is in very good condition. It has been professionally restored (straps, connections, upholstery, etc.) This piece has an attribution mark.
