About the Item
A very good antique 18th Century English Georgian Chippendale oak paneled back settle bench, circa 1780.
A very handsome settle in fine antique condition; the tall back with five fielded panels, the settle having substantial armrests with scrolled hand-rests, raised on short ring-turned supports. The seat is made of four panels and the settle is is raised on cabriole legs & terminating to raised pad feet.
The settle is all original & in excellent condition, it is very robust, stable and comfortable, it has just been wax polished in Bloomsbury's workshops and has a warm deep honey colored patina, this lovely 18th century settle is ready to grace your home.
