About the Item

A pair of French 19th century os de mouton carved walnut side chairs in colorful needlepoint upholstery held by large brass studs. The handwoven fabric depicts lush imagery of dense foliage in shades of blue, green and gold dotted by tiny red blooms. The carved frame with four legs and H-shaped stretcher is made of walnut and shaped in the scrolling mutton bone form that complements the curvaceous leaves in the fabric.
