About the Item
Beautiful pair of vintage 'Monroe' chairs designed by Arata Isozaki for Tendo, Japan c. 1980s. This pair/example was produced into 1985, in great condition with no significant damage/wear to frame.
Frame is in ebonized Cherrywood; sculptural in its design with a curved back and (6) individual slats for a backrest. Upholstered inset black leather seat. Excellent statement chairs for a small cafe / bistro table, or to flank an entry console.
