About the Item

Mid-century designer 2-seat sofa by Chresten Findahl Brodersen. This sofa was made under design No. CFB52 in the Findahl Møbelfabrik in the mid 50s. This is as pure as mid-century quality in sofa form gets, beautiful lines and well crafted teak armrests. Reupholstered in a de Ploeg Bergen 12/08 ecru fabric by a professional upholsterer to make sure the design was kept as Chresten intended it. Because of this the vintage condition is excellent. The sofa is robust and comfortable. The fabric of the Ploeg, Bergen 12/08, is a 25% polyamide and 75% wool with a wear fastness of 50000 Martindale. This innovative diagonally woven furniture fabric fits perfectly in the image that Ploeg fabrics are known for. The Ploeg Bergen values sustainability and the environment in particular. This is reflected in environmentally friendly production of the Bergen fabric. The teak armrests and legs contain very light traces of use corresponding to the age of this cool sofa. What an eye catcher in any contemporary interior! Furnip got a hold of a matching easy chair. Reupholstered in the same ecru Bergen 12/08 the Ploeg wool. Besides that there is another matching chair and sofa we had reupholstered in the Ploeg Bergen color 11/83 a very nice dark grey tint. This can al be mixed into a Salt and Pepper set ;-) Check out the Furnip store front on 1stdibs.
