About the Item
Designed by Hans Brattrud (1933-2017). Made by Georg Eknes. An original pair of 1960's Scandia swivel lounge chairs, in rosewood.
Original makers labels affixed to the base: " Georg Eknes Metallindustri, Eikneswag, Bergen. Pat Pend. Made in Norway"
Hans Brattrud was a Norwegian furniture designer and architect. Experimenting with wood bending techniques, he designed the first chairs in his iconic Scandia range in 1957. These slatted chairs have a timeless, elegant form.
This pair have been fully restored.
