About the Item
This Cabinet requires restoration. An antique English bookcase cabinet in two parts, George I or William & Mary, circa 1730 - 1750 with two beveled mirrored doors, adjustable shelving, brass escutcheons. The lower cabinet with two candle trays above the drop down door. The door reveals fitted interior with cubbies, drawers and a secret compartment. The cabinet with two over three drawers, adorned with brass hardware and resting on bun feet.
Dimensions: 39 1/4' W, 22" D and 80" H
Condition: Restoration required. Signs of age include losses to trim (several loose pieces are included), wear to the leather top, key lacking, some loose and stable separating joinery overall consistent with a cabinet near 300 years old. An extraordinary historical English piece that will be greatly enhanced with restoration. The photos are part of the description. Additional photos upon request.
