18th Century German Oak Buffet Sideboard

About the Item

A late 18th century Baroque sideboard or milk cabinet. Probably from north-west German. Made of solid oak. Beautiful charming piece with patina and character. Solid three-door oak body with bevelled corners and slightly protruding profiled cornice with three drawers. Framed and panelled doors hung on external iron fittings with multiple cranked profile frames. The locks were replaced in the 20th century. Dimensions Height: 95 cm / 37.4 inch. Width: 197 cm / 77.55 inch. Depth: 53.5 cm / 21.06 inch. Shelf depth: 46.5 cm / 18.3 inch. Good authentic condition with signs of age-related wear and visible past restorations. The surface of the centuries-old oak wood has been cleaned inside and out with steel wool.
