Baroque Blue Painted Pine Cabinet, Sweden circa 1820-40

About the Item

Lovely Swedish baroque cabinet from the early 1800's with original blue and red accent painted finish. The old painted finish has been scraped to reveal the soft, warm aged patina of the pine and residual white undertones. Note the traditional interior upper shelf which was originally used as a spoon rack. Key and lock function in main cabinet door. Lower 2 drawers function but have no pulls. Restored, this painted pine cupboard is strong and stable. All cracks, stains, scratches and separations (see back) are commensurate with age and do not impact the function of this cabinet with aged patina reflecting many generations of use. Please refer to professional photos for clear understanding of color, condition, and details; in particular the various layers of paint and wood finish. Photo lighting, individual monitor display and home lighting all impact how item is viewed. Photos are part of item description, please ask questions or request additional photos of specific areas if needed.
