Weave 196 Credenza from Ringvide, Solid Birch wood, black oil. Scandinavian
By Lukas Dahlén
Located in Visby, SE
Weave 196-Black oil Black sideboard, made of solid birchwood and laminated birchveneér. Modern yet classic, bold yet modest the cabinet serves as a great example of scandinavian contemporary design. Designed by Lukas Dahlén. The minimal yet expressive sideboard weave is made of solid birchwood and birchveneér. Inspired by the most common kind of wood and weed weaving the Weave sideboard represents an enlarged version of the technique of weaving something soft around a more stable structure. The top and bottom plane of the cabinet is held together by sticks kept together like a Windsor chair. Since first shown in Milan 2012, salone satellite, it has received a lot of attention worldwide. Different standard sizes: Weave 196 Weave 133...

Yngve Ekström 'Bangkok' Cabinet for AB Westbergs Möbler
By Yngve Ekström
Located in Waalwijk, NL
Yngve Ekström for AB Westbergs Möbler 'Bangkok' cabinet, teak, beech, mahogany, Sweden, 1950s. A beautiful cabinet designed by Yngve Ekström for AB Westbergs Möbler in the 1950s. This cabinet displays structured door panels that are decorated in an entangled carving of the wood, which adds to the appeal of this beautiful piece. The light colored frame in beech wood makes a nice open contrast to the darker colored closed cabinet. This body of this piece is made in teak wood with beautiful grain. Yngve Ekström (1913-1988) was a Swedish furniture designer, wood carver and architect. Ekström was one of the pioneers of what we nowadays call modern Scandinavian furniture...

By Axel Einar Hjorth, SMF Svenska Möbelfabriken Bodafors
Located in Örebro, SE
This is the 1920s Swedish Grace cabinet designed by Axel Einar Hjorth for AB Svenska Möbelfabrikerna in Bodafors, Sweden. It comes builded in two sections. Made of birch and veneered with dark brown stained birch. The inside and the shelves are veneered with natural birch. Behind the doors hides two removable shelves in each section. The front is richly ornamented and the two front legs resemble paws. In an age of 100 years it still has a beautiful strong, vibrant colors without any fading. Marked "AB Svenska Möbelfabrikerna Bodafors" with a metal plate inside the upper right door. The locks work and a key is included. ____________________ Axel Einar Hjorth worked in his younger years at Svenska Möbelfabrikerna in Bodafors, before he in 1927 got employed as chief designer at Nordiska Kompaniet.
