About the Item
A fine French 18th century Louis XVI period Rosewood, ormolu, and Coquillier de Bilbao marble cabinet vitrine. The two door one drawer vitrine is raised by elegant cabriole legs with foliate ormolu sabots and a curved design leading to the straight frieze. The two doors display glass fronts framed within a beautiful veneered border with richly chased foliate and beaded keyhole escutcheons and which open to reveal three glass shelves. Each side panel displays a most decorative quarter veneered design while the single drawer above showcases the stunning wood grain. Above is the original Coquillier de Bilbao marble top with a fine mottled border. All original gilt throughout.
