French Mid-19th Century Painted Cabinet with Chicken Wire Doors

About the Item

This French painted wood cabinet from the mid-19th century features two wire decorated doors. These chicken wire doors enclose four inner shelves, which would allow perfect storage of plates and dishes. The linear profile of this French piece, circa 1860 is subtly balanced by the beveled side posts, raised on the four angled tapered legs. This French cabinet would be great in a kitchen or perhaps a pantry. It could also be a used as a bookcase, to be placed in a library, office or living room. The light colored finish allied with the clean lines, provides an undeniably elegant simplicity to this French piece.
