Handsome vintage Scandinavian Modern Rosewood lighted China hutch or sideboard by Kibaek Mobelfabrik A/S Made in Denmark. Comprised of 2 pieces including a top hutch with glass shelves & glass bypass doors and a lower buffet with tambour doors, wood shelves, and drawers. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear even if it has been refinished or restored. Specifically, it has a chip on the edge of one glass door. We have chosen to leave the original finish on this piece leaving any small imperfections from age & use. Now THIS is Scandinavian Modern MAGNIFICENCE!!!!! WOW! This is a SPECTACULAR vintage Scandinavian Modern Rosewood China hutch or sideboard by Kibaek Mobelfabrik A/S, Made in Denmark. It is comprised of two pieces, a top hutch and a lower buffet. The top hutch is lighted and comprised of a gorgeous Rosewood frame featuring two sets of bypass glass doors with finger groove pulls, two adjustable glass shelves on each side, and four green felt lined drawers with recessed finger pulls under the bypass doors. Now let’s talk about this beautiful buffet! It is composed of a fabulous Rosewood frame which features Tambour doors that slide open horizontally & enclose two adjustable wood shelves on one side and a single shelf and two wood drawers on the other and the entire China hutch stands upon a lovely recessed base. Did you notice the phenomenal wood grain? WOW!!! It runs vertically on the hutch frame and buffet and horizontally on the four drawer fronts in the center of the piece… it’s a beautiful, eye-catching contrast. It would be the perfect piece to display all of that “fine China” your grandmother gave you!! But maybe you don’t have “fine China” to display? No problem!!, fill it with art, books, or any décor and simply call it a striking display cabinet! Or… call it a dry bar and fill the display portion with wonderful cocktail glasses and use the lower part for liquor bottles and other bar accessories. And the top comes off so you could simply use the lower section as a sideboard or buffet. It is comprised of a gorgeous teak frame with stunning wood grain, straight square legs, and four drawers featuring 2 double recessed half-moon handles. The top drawers open from the bottom, and the bottom drawers open from the top! It’s a simple but oh-so-stunning detail. This is an INCREDIBLE cabinet and it’s bursting with versatility, impeccable style, and ample storage. Mid-Century Modern 2-piece china hutch, cabinet, or buffet by Heywood Wakefield for the Contessa Collection. Comprised of 2-pieces a top hutch & a bottom buffet in a dark cherrywood, woven wicker basket weave or caned door fronts, brass toned pulls, & slim steel legs. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that these are vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. There are nicks on the left side of the buffet edge toward the front. Stiffener has been added underneath buffet as the cabinet had sagged in the middle making doors uneven. Stiffener corrected that issue. Please see photos and zoom in for details. We attempt to portray any imperfections. Circa, 1960’s. In 1959, the Heywood Wakefield “Contessa” slogan was "Wood for warmth and grace ... steel for strength and rigidity." "Furniture of Slender Elegance." And does this China cabinet ever fit that description. The Contessa line features a darker cherrywood, gold or brass toned accents, and slim steel legs. This cabinet has 2 pieces. A bottom buffet that features brass toned pulls that open two sets of double doors. There are three drawers on the right side with a silverware tray in the top drawer. The left side is open storage. The top hutch features two rolling side doors with woven wicker basket weave, or caned, door fronts and three shelves in the center. The whole cabinet stands on slim steel legs and exudes mid-century modern magnificence! This awesome, versatile china cabinet or buffet will look amazing whether you place it in the dining room, living room, study, or the kitchen. It is adaptable enough to blend right in whether your design style leans to Mid-Century Modern, Scandinavian Modern, industrial, southwestern, or modern country. In 1897, two prominent furniture companies, Heywood Brothers and Wakefield Company merged and created Heywood Brothers & Wakefield Company; the name would be shortened to Heywood-Wakefield in 1921. The new company rose to popularity in the 1930s, 40s, and 50s with its solid wood, Art Deco-inspired, mid-century modern furniture. In 1992, South Beach Furniture Company acquired the rights to the Heywood-Wakefield name. After realizing how in demand vintage Heywood Wakefield pieces were, production began on new pieces that remained true to the style, quality, and values of the original company. Handsome vintage Scandinavian Modern teak file cabinet by Jesper International, Denmark with 2 lateral drawers both with removeable teak dividers. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear even if it has been refinished or restored. Specifically, we have repaired a spot on the lower left end at the back where there was a break in the particle board and have striped and sanded the top to try to remove a surface ring. It is much improved, however can still be seen in certain light. It has been polyurethaned for durability. The rest of the cabinet and drawer fronts do have minor signs of use that have been touched up.
