About the Item
Shanty cabinet designed by Doshi Levien for BD Barcelona. This unique piece is styled after the ridged steel sheets which are utilized to develop numerous brief or temporary homes around the world. This unconstrained arrangement of superimposed surfaces in various colors is reproduced with a wavy front. Its body has an asymmetrical volume and every entryway opens in an unexpected way.
The modules are structured using MDF fibreboard with a lacquered matte finish. These modules are joined together mechanically by a fixing system. The top portion is constructed with 8 mm painted glass. The legs of this unique cabinet are in octagonal shape and are made of extruded anodized gold aluminum.
