18th century George III mahogany serpentine chest of drawers

About the Item

18th century George III mahogany serpentine chest of drawers circa 1760. Fine quality serpentine shaped Georgian period chest of drawers complete with brushing slide. Top surface made from a single piece of timber.  Chest comprises of 4 long graduating drawers with cock-beaded edging, retaining the rococo style ornate handles and escutheon plate.  Top drawer with brushing slide covered in a maroon velvet, this pushes back to reveal a fitted interior of dividers. Height to slide surface: 30 1/4" Deep rich colour, standing on bracket feet. Expected minor surface marks in line with age and use, minor shrinkage to timber on top surface, overall in very good condition, fully re-polished by hand in our workshop.
