Continental Pine Chest
About the Item
The locks on this chest are original. The brass hardware is later. The front and sides of the top have serpentine shapes. The front corners have a protruding arch over a carved supporting bracket. The sides have applied reed molding on the corner chamfer which terminate in an elongated lamb's tongue at the base. There is an applied shaped molding separating the middle and lower drawers. The finish is later.
