A vintage Neoclassic style painted wood raised chest from Italy. This lovely chest from Italy, circa late 20th century, is a very well made piece with lots of nicely carved details. It has been designed in Neoclassical influences; with canted side posts which are flute-carved, a wonderful ribbed texture at side panels, delightful tulip trimming about the drawers with their wreath and bow-tie carved centers, and spiraled ribbon trimming about the skirt.
