A very stylish antique Austrian Biedermeier figured Ash corner cabinet, circa 1830. The cabinet with an ebonized crown and a glazed door below with arched panels, the door enclosing three shelves and the interior having the original grey paint. To the middle is a second ebonized band of wood and a single paneled door enclosing a single shelf, the cabinet with a corresponding ebonized band to the base and is raised on stile feet. The cabinet is made from the most striking figured blond ash with highly variegated grain, both doors have inlaid lock escutcheons &3500 keys are present for the locks. Fine Antique 19th Century French Rococo Gilded 8 Day Clock Sevres Porcelain 1830

A fine antique French eight day mantle clock, gilded and fitted with Sevres porcelain plaques, circa 1830. An early French silk suspension clock, with an eight day time and strike movement, gently sounding the hours and half hour on a bell. The clock is housed in an extravagant gilded gesso Rococo style case and standing on an integral plinth. The clock with a silvered dial having a cuff of engine turned decoration around the center and black Roman numerals to the outside of the dial and the retailer's name "Carl Muller in Berlin" to the center. The base of the clock is fitted with a round hand-painted floral 'Sevres' porcelain plaque, the clock plinth is fitted with a rectangular 'Sevres' plaque, hand-painted with a pastoral scene with a young courting couple and grazing sheep & goats. The clock has just been professionally overhauled and cleaned, it runs and keeps good time, the gilded case and silvered dial and porcelain plaques are in remarkable condition, a very fine clock...

Antique early 19th century American pine and maple Corner Cupboard, c 1810. Made of pine and maple, featuring triangular form with stunning original glazed wavy glass doors, three drawers and wood doors below This cupboard has pale pink old milk painted interior shelves. The glass features waves and bubbles consistent with age and was completely hand made with wooden pegs. Ever wonder how large, tall pieces of furniture were moved in and out of the small doorways in 18th-19th century homes? Beginning about 1740, corner cupboards were very popular storage pieces. Some were built into the room by carpenters so they never had to be moved. Instead of a rectangular piece of furniture, the corner piece was triangular in the back so it fit into a corner with no wasted space. Through the years, many of these built-ins have been removed and given new backs. Most old corner cupboards were made by a cabinetmaker to be moved from house to house. The top section usually had glass cabinet doors covering several shelves. The silver or dishes inside were arranged to be admired. The bottom section had two wooden cabinet doors...
