Whimsical relief carvings of mermaids and ships. Doors open to reveal two adjustable height shelves. Two keys included. Sourced in France.
Jean-Charles Moreux (1889–1956) was a French architect, landscape designer, and decorator known for his elegant, neoclassical yet imaginative approach to design. A graduate of the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, Moreux became a key figure in the early 20th-century French design scene, particularly during the interwar period. He designed bespoke furniture that echoed classical forms but with a poetic and sometimes surrealist touch—often incorporating natural motifs like leaves, branches, and animals.
